, , , &
Pages 249-256 | Published online: 16 Mar 2011

The methods of producing uniform layers of ferroelectric smectic C* liquid crystal and hydrogenated amorphous silicon are described. The results obtained are used for producing output images with spatial light modulators of short switching times. The main application of such modulators is optical processing.
