Abstract
The phonon dispersion curves for the 3 lowest Λ' − Λ” branches in Deuterated Betaine Calcium Chloride Dihydrate (D. BCCD) were measured by the inelastic neutron scattering technique at T=35 K. The results are compared with the dispersion of the lowest Λ3 − Λ2 branches measured in the normal (paraelectric) phase and their interpretation in the frame of a simple mode coupling model is proposed. The possible origin of the observed renormalization is discussed.
