Magnetic structure phase transition in CsEr(MoO4)2

, , &
Pages 73-77 | Published online: 15 Mar 2011

The EPR spectra of single crystals of CsEr(MoO4)2 are studied in wide frequency (11-190 GHz) and temperature (1.8-35 K) range. It is shown that CsEr(MoO4) belong to Ising magnets with high anisotropy of spin-spin interaction and short range effects. The pushing away of the ground and the first exited level is observed. The first-order Jahn-Teller phase transition induced by applied magnetic field on the order 46 kOe is detected at T = 1.8 K.
