The results of investigations on the Er3+ ions optical absorption spectrum of the layered crystal KEr(MoO4)2 over the temperature range 2 K-77 K are discussed. Anomalous behavior of the spectrum at the temperatures near 20 K and 2 K is supposed to be associated with different structural states of the crystal at these temperatures.
