Abstract
The reaction sequence and structural phase evolution of PLZT X/65/35 were studied using X-ray diffraction and Raman scattering measurements for compositions prepared by both conventional and chemical methods. At low calcination temperatures, the presence of a tetragonal perovskite phase was established, the amount of which proved to be dependent on the lanthanum concentration. For high temperatures, only one phase, with a symmetry indistinguishable from pseudocubic, is observed, with a cell volume decreasing with La content.
