A simple model of the electronic polarization in the perovskite family oxides

Abstract

The point polarizable ion model has been developed further to take into account the charge transfer between sites. The problem of the calculation of polarization is reduced to the solution of a small number of inhomogeneous linear equations. The calculation of polarization has been carried out for SrTiO₃.
