Abstract
Accurate value of spontaneous polarization P s of a ferroelectric liquid crystal was obtained using a hysteresis loop compensation, and the results of temperature dependence of P s were well fitted to the equation, P s(T)=P 0(T c-T)β. Effects of experimental conditions, such as molecular alignment quality, cell thickness, frequency, impurity, on the fitting parameters, P o, T c and β, were discussed.
