Abstract
There is a morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) in the (1−x)(0.6PZN-0.4PMN)-xPT ceramic system when x=0.23. The dielectric and piezoelectric properties are very good for compositions lying near the MPB. After partially substituting Pb with Sr, dielectric and piezoelectric properties are increased apparently. The piezoelectric properties reach peak values when the substitution content of Sr2+ is 3–5 mole%. A better dielectric and piezoelectric properties can be obtained after thermal annealing at 850°C for 4h. In this work, d33=680pC/N, d31=-280pC/N, kp=48%, k31=31%, and maximum dielectric constant ϵm = 25000 were achieved.
