The motion of a domain wall under the elastic field

Pages 139-144 | Published online: 15 Mar 2011

Forced vibrations of an individual domain wall in the gadolinium molybdate single crystal under the action of ac elastic stress were investigated for the first time. It was shown that the amplitude of the wall oscillations is approximately linear in external force. The distinction from similar vibrations in the electric field was found. The hysteresis in the amplitude characteristic connected with aftereffects is absent in case of elastic field.
