The sintering characteristics, microstructures and microwave dielectric properties of Ba-3XNd8+2X(Zr,Ti)18O54 ceramics were investigated. By substitution of Zr for Ti in BaNd2Ti4O12 ceramics, the density and the densification temperatures increased. Meanwhile, both the dielectric constants and the Qf values decreased as the amount of Zr increased. Moreover, a solid solution limit (between 25mol% and 50mol%) of Zr for Ti in BaNd2Ti4O12 was suggested by the XRD analysis, and the temperature coefficient of dielectric constant could be improved when Ti was substitution by Zr within this solid solution limit.
