Teaching About the Regional Geography of Europe in Slovenia

ABSTRACT

This article reviews the content and methodology of the school geography curriculum in Slovenia as it relates to the regional geography of Europe. A comparison is made between the current curriculum and that of the communist period, and consideration given to how geography should be taught in the twenty-first century in a way which addresses contemporary needs and concerns.
