Pollen Morphology within the Genus Drosera

Abstract

The pollen morphology of two species of Drosera has been investigated by means of both light and electron microscopy. The apertures are situated proximally, a state rarely found in the pollen of Angiospermous plants. The pollen morphology of Aldrovanda, Dionea and Drosophyllum is compared.
