Abstract

Morphological data are presented on the pollen of Limnocharis flava Buch., Hydrocleis nymphoides (Willd.) Buch., and Tenagocharis latifolia (Don) Buch. These data suggest that the structure of the germinal aperture is taxonomically more pertinent in the Limnocharitaceae than the structure of the interporal exine and indicate some similarities in pollen morphology and fine structure between particular taxa in the Limnocharitaceae and Alismataceae.
