Electrolytic Metal Stripping in Solutions Containing Carboxylic Acids

Summary

A new type of electrolytic stripper containing neutralisation products of nitric acid with amines, carboxylic acids and a small quantity of halogen is described. This electrolyte is especially developed for stripping stainless steel rack contacts. The following metals can be stripped: brass, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, gold, nickel (including dull, semi-bright and electroless nickel), nickel/iron, silver, zinc, tin.
