Abstract

A Crank–Nicolson finite difference method is presented to solve a system of time fractional coupled Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation, the Grünwald–Letnikov definition is used for the time-fractional derivative. The approximation solutions for some numerical examples by the proposed method clarify that the method is applicable, simple and efficient for such problems.
