A Fourth Order Accurate Cubic Spline Alternating Group Explicit Method For Non-Linear Singular Two Point Boundary Value Problems*

Pages 479-492 | Published online: 15 Sep 2010

In this paper, a fourth-order method based on cubic spline approximations is presented for the numerical solution of non-linear singular two point boundary value problems. The AGE and Newton-AGE iteration methods which are suitable both on sequential and parallel computers are discussed both for linear and nonlinear singular problems. The convergence theory is briefly discussed. The numerical results obtained confirm the viability of the proposed method. * Supported by 'The British Council' under the Commonwealth Fellowship programme.
