In the present paper, we consider the boundary value problem for the generalized Emden-Fowler equations. A variable substitution is introduced and it is solved numerically by reducing to the first order system. We use the implicit midpoint rule to approximate solution and the convergence is accelerated by means of extrapolation method. Numerical results are presented for different cases.
