Multiple-scale analysis for solitons due to Langmuir waves in plasmas

Abstract

The nonlinear Schrödinger's equation, which describes the electron (Langmuir) waves in plasmas, is studied in this paper in the presence of perturbation terms. The method of multiple-scale analysis is employed to perform this study. The perturbation terms that are considered here are both local and non-local.
