Integration of second order linear differential equation with mixed boundary conditions

Pages 389-397 | Published online: 21 Dec 2010

Abstract

A fourth order finite difference scheme for obtaining an approximate solution of second order linear differential equation lacking the first derivative, with mixed boundary conditions, is presented. The convergence of the method is proved. A numerical illustration is included to demonstrate the practical usefulness of our method.
