A semantics for anaphora resolution in algebraic linguistics

Abstract

A semantics for a text is constucted by means of Analytical Models theory in Algebraic Linguistics and applied to prune the anaphoric tree of a text. A formal approach to focussing making use of Brouwer-Kleene orderings of the pruned anaphoric tree is proposed which gives the basic anaphoric readings of a text.
