The modified preconditioned jacobi method for iterative solution of linear systems of equations

Abstract

In this paper the authors develop explicit forms of preconditioning iterative methods which are suitable for parallel computers. The convergence of the method is analysed and the existence of an optimum preconditioning parameter established which is confirmed from the numerical experiments carried out.
