Evolution systems with feedback

Pages 43-54 | Received 10 May 1993, Published online: 19 Mar 2007

Abstract

Incorporation of feedback in an evolution program causes oscillation effects. The underlying mechanism is studied in a series of simulation experiments. To explain the time behaviour of the system difference equations for the mean fitness Ft are derived. The possible usefulness of evolution systems with feedback for modelling economic and social systems is discussed.
