On an integral of product of laguerre polynomials

Abstract

The evaluation of an integral of the product of Laguerre polynomials which appeared recently in this Journal by Mavromatis [36, 1990, p. 257] is shown to be a particular case of a general result of Erdélyi. An error in the special case derived earlier and other possible explicit evaluations on account of special forms of the ₃ F ₂(1) function are discussed.
