The smart alternating group explicit (smage) method

Abstract

In this paper a more efficient form of the Alternating Group Explicit (AGE) method [1] for the numerical solution of tridiagonal linear systems derived from the discretisation of nonlinear 2nd order differential equations with 2 point boundary conditions is derived. Numerical results are presented which confirm the conclusions.
