Abstract

A new method of splicing called ‘Array splicing’ is introduced in this paper. Such models are called splicing-array systems. This is a mathematical abstraction of the recombinant behaviour of repetitive DNA and bended DNA sequences under the influence of certain restrictions. We discuss permanent and persistent set of patterns and also present an algorithm to develop a system that is free of superfluous patterns.
