Abstract

Interpolation methods are one means of tackling the classical performance versus feasibility compromise in model predictive control (MPC). However, although some details are available in various conferences, very little has appeared in the published journals and also there is no paper pulling all the various algorithms together. Hence this article seeks to give a brief but insightful survey of existing proposals along with their strengths and weaknesses, before proposing useful avenues for future studies.
