Eigenvalue sensitivity of modal control systems to loop-gain variationsFootnote

Pages 159-162 | Received 22 Nov 1968, Published online: 16 Jan 2007

Abstract

In dosigning modal control systems for multi-variable plants, it is frequently found that a numbor of alternative designs moot tho design requirements regarding the eigenvalues of the closed-loop system. In this note, sensitivity theory is used to differentiate between alternative plants from the point of view of the sensitivity of their eigenvalues to loop-gain variations.
