Non-interacting control of linear multivariable systems†

Abstract

Procedures are worked out in this paper for non-interactive compensation of linear multivariable systems employing the matrix block diagram technique. The three forms of representation, namely, the structural matrix method, the plant transfer matrix (P-form) method and the modified V-form method, are considered. The need for a unique procedural sequence for the first two forms of representation in determining the various non-interactive compensators is emphasized. The results are compared with the non-interaction compensators obtained by other procedures developed earlier.
