Abstract
Recently, two papers (Beshai and Dokainish 1973) and (Beahai and Sinha 1973) discussing a method for obtaining approximate solutions to certain types of second-order non-linear differential equations appeared in this journal. Since the results, in some cases, are compared to those obtained by Mr. Barkham and myself (Barkham and Soudack 1969, 1970) (Soudack and Barkham 1970), some comments are in order.
