Very fast linear and non-linear observers Part 1. Theory

Abstract

The problem of the design of very fast observers is considered for linear and nonlinear systems. Four optimal criteria are introduced allowing a wide choice of observer parameters and an allocation of desired eigenvalues. Newly derived approaches are compared with known methods of optimal observer design. Numerical examples illustrate these methods.
