Global Lyapunov stability and exponential convergence of direct adaptive control

Abstract

The stability properties of discrete time model reference adaptive control systems are examined. Lyapunov functions and strong convergence results are given for some classes of adaptive systems. We show l 2-stability, Lyapunov stability, and finite time convergence for a set of tracking error states.
