Abstract

A discrete-lime ‘universal regulator’ which can adaptively stabilize unknown linear time-invariant (LTI) systems is presented. It is shown that the sufficient a priori information required for adaptive stabilization is the order of a stabilizing regulator. This requirement can be further weakened if a more complicated controller is used.
