Re-examination of frequency response calculations for feedback amplifiers

Pages 283-294 | Received 08 Aug 1984, Accepted 30 Aug 1984, Published online: 06 Jul 2010

ABSTRACT

It is shown that two-transistor and three-transistor feedback amplifiers have two and three significant loop-gain poles respectively. They also contain significant loop-gain zeros. An exact but simple method is given for the calculation of the zeros. A tabular form is presented for the exact calculation of the significant poles. The methods presented are suitable for hand calculation.
