Abstract
A 19 GHz FET amplifier has been designed, built and tested using the Avanteck FET chip AT-8061. ‘Supercompact’ was used for the design. There is good agreement between the predicted and measured single-stage amplifier performances. The novelty in this work is the compactness and extreme light weight of the total amplifier assembly. Predictions for two- and three-stage amplifiers are also given.
