Influence of film thickness on the performance of leaky surface acoustic wave transducers of ZnO on fused quartz

Abstract

A numerical analysis of leaky surface acoustic wave transducers consisting of a ZnO thin film on fused quartz is described in terms of the film thickness. The interdigital transducer (IDT) used for the structure operates effectively for the construction of a ZnO/IDT/fused quartz plate. The efficiency of radiation of the acoustic beam into water exhibits double peaks.
