Abstract
It is well known and documented that microstrip antennas exhibit many advantages for conformal antenna applications that can be improved either by changing the type of substrate bi-isotropic, bi-anisotropic or by using multilayered structures. The electromagnetic behaviour of a metallic microstrip patch antenna on a grounded chiral slab is studied. Numerical results based on a new efficient moment method MM solution of the resonant frequency and the bandwidth for different antenna configurations are given.
