T-matrix analysis of the electromagnetic wave diffraction from a metallic Fourier grating for an arbitrary incidence and polarization

Pages 787-796 | Published online: 09 Nov 2010

Abstract

The profile of a metallic Fourier grating composed of first and second sinusoidal waves is considered. The rigorous expression is presented in terms of Bessel functions. The diffraction efficiencies versus incident angles are numerically calculated for different azimuthal angles. In the numerical results, the anomalies for the surface plasmon of a gold grating are also discussed.
