Abstract

There are three approaches to study the individual‐environment interface: (1) functionalism; (2) structuralism; and (3) existentialism. This case study was undertaken to examine the structural component and incorporate the functional and existentialistic elements into the analysis to identify the relationship between these elements and structuralism. It was found the decision situation is the primary element that is related to a structuralistic approach.
