A framework of industrial production and waste generation system is outlined. A mathematical model of the system is presented and parameters are precisely defined. Based on the mathematical model, a waste generation prediction model is developed and cost analysis of the system is carried out. To study the system behavior, a hypothetical model is further introduced and simulated using STELLA dynamic simulation software. The applicability of the hypothetical model for regulative purposes is tested.
