Psychologists and Human Rights

Pages 143-149 | Published online: 27 Sep 2007

Abstract

The flagrant violations of Article V of the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights, particularly in several Latin American countries, have aroused a number of psychological and scientific associations around the world. A large number of resolutions condemning these facts has been one of the results. The additional fact, that especially in Argentina psychologists and psychiatrists have been subject to political persecution, brings the problem of human rights to our door step.
