Identification of non-linear distributed systems using Laguerre operational matrices

Abstract

A double Laguerre series expansion for a two variable function is developed to extend the use of Laguerre operational matrices in the identification of the parameters of linear distributed systems described by linear partial differential equations to non-linear distributed parameter systems. By giving proper shape to the non-linear terms, this method can be extended to identifying the parameters of non-linear distributed systems with or without noise.
