A control synthesis methodology for uncertain plants with random initial conditions

Abstract

This paper proposes a controller design procedure to satisfy practical control specifications for uncertain plants with random initial conditions. A discrete-time linear optimal controller structure is employed and a standard mathematical programming algorithm is used to compute the slate weighting matrix Q such that the specifications are satisfied. The design procedure is demonstrated via an example dealing with the design of a flight control system
