Abstract

An algorithm for the design of a stable fuzzy logic control system is introduced. The basic idea is to divide the output of a fuzzy logic controller into two parts. One is used to assign the poles and the other is used to guarantee the stability of the whole system. In this paper a second-order system is considered and the Lyapunov stability criterion is used to discuss the stability. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the design procedure
