ABSTRACT
During anthecological studies of Ephedra, populations referable to E. campylopoda were encountered near Haifa (Israel). The plants agree very well with the type description and it was thought useful to redescribe some essential features of the species because the Haifa material clearly differs in some respects from Dalmatian material referred to E. campylopoda. Conceivably, the latter should be given a different taxonomic status.
