ABSTRACT
The paper reports 56 species of benthic harpacticoids from the Suez Canal, including three new species: Ellucana chelicerata, Schizopera lacus-amari and Hemilaophonte clysmae. Comparison is made with the Cambridge Expedition collection and a few Zoogeographic conclusions are proposed. Phytal species with a wide Zoogeographie range predominate. The Indo-Pacific immigrants are chiefly level bottom species. A euryhaline element is also well represented. No radical changes seem to have occurred in the species inventory in the last 50 years.
