ON THE SCOLOPENDROMORPHA (CHILOPODA) OF ISRAEL AND ADJOINING AREAS

Pages 279-294 | Accepted 01 Nov 1996, Published online: 30 Apr 2013

ABSTRACT

Specimens of Scolopendromorpha collected in Israel during 1990 formed the basis of some new morphological, zoogeographical, and ecological data concerning species of the genera Cryptops and Scolopendra presented here. A new species, Cryptops pori n. sp., is described and another one, Scolopendra mirabilis (Porat, 1876), is redescribed. A survey of the fauna of Scolopendromorpha from Israel and adjoining areas is also presented.
