Abstract
In a survey of teachers of Advanced Level Biology in parts of the West Midlands interesting background details of the teachers emerged. Some aspects of their teaching groups are considered. The main investigation involved a study of the views of teachers on the nature of biological science and on their aims for Advanced Level teaching.
