Abstract
Stick insects are becoming increasingly popular in schools. Easy to handle and observe, these fascinating creatures can be used extensively in project work. It is also beneficial to have some living creatures in the laboratory; stick insects are ideal as they require minimal care. They are very popular with pupils, and can stimulate those who do not usually take an interest in biology.
