Abstract
Keeping abreast of all new materials that can be used in the introductory college course is an impossible task. By taking upon himself the responsibility of examining and describing all recent introductory principles texts, Professor Leamer has earned the gratitude of the hard pressed and busy instructors who cannot possibly manage to study each new book (or revision) that appears on the market. The ultimate choice lies with the teacher, but this article may help instructors decide which texts to obtain for consideration in their own courses.
