Abstract

The effectiveness of graduate students as instructors has been tested several times in the United States. This paper is a brief summary of a lengthy report of a study of the use of GSI's in Israel. The results suggest that teaching effectiveness is an individual matter, and that graduate assistants can be just as effective as regular faculty members who have more teaching experience.
